Hemet Museum
The museum had its start when Laura Swift and a committee from the Hemet Woman’s Club headed the project. Other organizations from the community joined the newly named "Hemet Area Museum Association" which was incorporated in 1974. In 1987 the first museum opened in a store front at 211 E. Florida Avenue. Later they joined the Save Our Station group and moved to the present location in the Historic Santa Fe Railroad Depot.
